Portland Gardens

The Garden Blogger's Fling is fast-approaching,
and I am so excited about attending it in one of my favorite cities, Portland.
I visited there for a whirlwind weekend in 2006 and
went to a couple of the places that are included on this year's Fling itinerary.
I thought it would be fun to review some images I captured in '06,
and in a future post, show images from this year's visit.
From a very sunny, bright day in 2006...

A shot below at the International Rose Test Gardens.

Next, let's travel to the Japanese Garden...

And last,
a shot of the old and the new, downtown Portland.

Looking forward to meeting you at the Fling!

Wordless Wednesday - Phone Gnome

Wordless for now,
I think these are just screaming for captions...
perhaps a little gnome wisdom.

These wonderful gnomes are on loan
at the Sophia M Sachs Butterfly House
in Chesterfield, Missouri for a limited time.
