It's been a while since I've posted pictures
of 'our' eagles here on the lake,
so I thought I would share these for Skywatch Friday.
(Click on the pictures to enlarge them.)
I liked the above and below photos because they included
both the eagles in the sky and the one on the top of the flagpole.
Plus, I found the cloud formations to be interesting.
And this shot, above, is of a helicopter and eagle. The helicopter was from a local news station. It arrived to shoot footage of the rescue of a drowning man by two 15 year-old residents.
They revived the man using CPR
until paramedics arrived on the scene.
The man was then transported to the hospital
and the teens lauded for their heroic efforts.
from around the globe.
Have a wonderful weekend, wherever you are!

Blue blue sky out there. You have way more of that than we have lately! Neat story about the two teens.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little, whenever there was eagle flying nearby, chicken will run and hide. ~bangchik
ReplyDeleteWhoa, you have a lot of things going on in those photos. They're terrific! Eagles are so beautiful, aren't they? I think I have maybe seen one in the wild only once.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Have a great weekend!
Humans can "fly" but not as majestically! :-) Great photos and a Beautiful sky! (The two 15-year-olds were heroic! Hope the person they saved is okay.)
ReplyDeleteThe eagles are so magical. We had a pair nesting not too far from our house this past spring.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your caterpillar post too. Do not know "Yellow Fuzzy's" name but it is a cutie.
Happy Autumn.

Amazing shots of the eagles and a gorgeous sky!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful pictures! I love pictures of the sky.
ReplyDeleteHi Aeriel. I wish I could see eagles like this in the sky surrounding my abode. I love the helicopter there for a juxtaposing man vs. animal scenario. Kudos to the teens and their heroism. This is the kind of thing we need to hear when we're all thinking the world is going to hell in a hand basket. It's not. Most kids are really good people and this proves it.
ReplyDeleteExcept for a rare visitor, we don't see too many bald eagles here. Nice shots! There's no mistaking their identity in the last shot, the sun highlights the tail and head perfectly!
