A fellow gardener opened his dahlia gardens to a group of us to wander and cut flowers. As we did this, he shared with us some of his knowledge about growing and propagating these beautiful flowers.
Here is a small sampling of the 80 or so varieties he grows.

I think you'll agree that they are some kinda gorgeous flowers.
But are they divas, or just plain delightful?

Delightful divas, I think!
ReplyDeleteOMG! How beautiful! I'd get dizzy from such beauty! Excellent pictures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures Aerie-el. I think they're Divas. I sure miss having mine. I have one blooming, one with buds and one I just bought cause mine didn't do well this year.
ReplyDeleteyour site is so beautiful; I love looking at it. Thank you and keep it up.
ReplyDeleteDelightful and amazing! Of course, I don't have to tend them.
ReplyDeleteI've honestly never grown Dahlias, but they are beautiful. There was a gorgeous Dahlia display at our county fair earlier this year, and I must admit, they do look a little diva-ish, but why shouldn't they?
ReplyDeleteA little bit of both maybe. Some of mine are blooming, others never did set a single bud... those are the divas. All that teasing with foliage. Just plain cruel.
ReplyDeleteThese photos are beautiful. I love the deep velvety red one the most.
They may surely think so! Lovely they are. Your portraits are too. ;>)
