The Other Side of the Door

Many of you wondered...
And now you will have the answer to...
what was on the other side of the Garden Gate?
Enjoy!

"This has long been my
fondest desire: to own a
piece of earth of modest
but ample size and
there by my house to set
a garden and in it to be
blessed with fresh
flowing water and an
overhanging patch of
noble forest."
~Horace, Italian poet, 65-8 B.C.

Wishing all your dreams come true too.

I'm thinking you live quite close to heaven behind the garden gate! It's beautiful . . . or should I say it's heavenly!!! ;-)

  5. Such a beautiful garden haven behind the gates ... lots of lovely garden spaces! I particularly loved the spot where the outdoor setting is ... with all those fantastic pots beside it!

  7. I came back after looking at the enlarged pictures. Your succulent garden is amazing! Wonderful! I love all the planters and pedestals in your garden. But now, I can't believe my eyes: Do you have a CHANDELIER in your chicken palace??? If in my next life I'll be a chicken, I want to live in that place!

  8. I only wish this garden was mine...but alas it is the 'secret garden' of a wonderful design consultant, to which I was fortunate enough to visit. I have to apologize that the photographs don't do justice to the gardens because of the lighting and/or my ability to compensate for it!

The 'girls' (chickens) had a place that was incredible! Note the Italian water dish (gorgeous), and the (owner disclosed it was IKEA!) chandelier. The good life.

We all aspire to have a magical garden like this one, but no matter where or what we have, it is our own secret garden beyond the garden gate.
